Vitals: The UCF Knights enter Week 8's matchup against the No. 2 BYU Cougars fresh off a bye week. UCF aims to break a two-game losing streak, plagued by late second-half collapses, and avenge last year's season-ending loss to BYU. The Cougars make history as the highest-ranked program to visit Orlando, surpassing the then-No. 6 Texas Longhorns' appearance in 2007. They dethroned the then-No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish last week in a 28-24 thriller, ending with a strong goal-line stand.

QUOTEABLE: "They got a really good quarterback," Scott Frost said during Monday's media availability. "There are no holes. They're solid players everywhere."
QB Alonza Barnett III Could Return, UCF Must Fix Second-Half Woes
UCF's injury report listed Barnett as questionable, the first upgrade since ESPN's Pete Thamel reported his hamstring injury on Sept. 14.
Thamel also said the star transfer won't play against BYU on Tuesday. However, offensive coordinator Steve Cooper said Barnett has a "fair chance" to play during his media availability.
His return would bolster the Knights' deep passing game, which has struggled since Keyone Jenkins took over as the starter. Barnett completed 40% of passes for 20-plus yards for the James Madison Dukes last season.
Jenkins would start his fifth straight game if UCF rules out Barnett. He's grown in his role every week, and threw a season-high four touchdowns against the then-No. 18 Oklahoma State Cowboys before the bye week.
Second-half collapses plagued coach Scott Frost's squad in the last two games against ranked foes. They allowed 48 second-half points to their 14, crushing any upset hopes.
The Knights cannot throw the first punch against the Cougars and collapse when they respond. Saturday's game is a must-win to alleviate pressure to win three of the last five games to break a two-season bowl drought.
