LUBBOCK, Texas -- It's a blacked-out Galaxy Stadium for the 8:30 p.m. kickoff between No. 15 Texas Tech and West Virginia on Saturday night.

The Red Raiders (7-1) look to remain contenders for another Big 12 championship and CFP berth while the Mountaineers (5-3) rumble into town with one of the nation's most formidable rushing offenses.

PREVIEW:Playoff Hopes at Stake as Texas Tech Faces West Virginia

Last week, Texas Tech defeated No. 22 Arizona in Lubbock, 34-26, marking its second-ranked win of the season and bouncing back from its first loss.

The Red Raiders got 328 of its 472 yards of offense on the ground thanks to a change at quarterback with dual-threat veteran Thomas Castellanos starting in place of Will Hammond. Castellanos threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 117 with another score. Running back J'Koby Williams added 175 rushing yards in his second straight home game setting a new career-high in rushing.

West Virginia is coming off a 24-20 win over TCU. Quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. threw for just 79 yards, but his Mountaineers possess the nation's fifth-best rushing attack and gained 186 yards on the ground - which is still well below their per-game average.

CHERRY ON TOP: The second-latest home kickoff in school history calls for a blackout color scheme - both for the fans and the players. However, Texas Tech has chosen a red helmet to go with the all-black uniform. The Red Raiders are just 1-0 all-time in this combination.
