The SEC football standings continued to shift after Week 6. Georgia reigns atop the conference with a 4-0 SEC record as the lone unbeaten team. Alabama and Kentucky sit a game back, tied at 3-1 in conference play.

LSU football suffered its second loss of the year, falling to Kentucky in Week 6 and dropping its conference record to 1-2. That leaves the Tigers tied with Auburn in the standings. The purple and gold also fell to Ole Miss in its SEC opener during Week 3.

The Tigers dug themselves a hole in the first half against the Rebels, trailing 24-7 at the break. A second-half turnaround on offense couldn't overcome the slow start. After rebounding with a 35-6 blowout against Texas A&M, they fell in a shootout against the Wildcats.

Multiple upsets affected the SEC standings. Florida dropped out of the top 25 after a loss to South Carolina, which is tied with the Aggies at 1-3. Texas and Oklahoma are tied at 1-1 in conference play after the Sooners upset the Longhorns. Vanderbilt and Arkansas are the only teams still searching for their first conference win.
