On Saturday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide officially dropped back-to-back games with a 26-10 road loss against Tennessee in Knoxville.

Not only was this the Crimson Tide's second defeat of the season, but it also marks the first time under head coach Kalen DeBoer that Alabama has done so. In fact, the last time prior to Saturday that Alabama suffered a loss in two-straight games was 2013.

As a result of the loss, Alabama suffers their second defeat of the season, likely putting them on the bubble of the College Football Playoff picture. The Crimson Tide will likely not be able to afford a third regular season loss going forward, marking a tough road ahead that features matchups against LSU, Texas A&M, and Auburn, among others.

After the game, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke with the media during his postgame press conference, and in doing so, revealed his message to the team following the Crimson Tide's second-straight loss about the road ahead.

"I just said it's going to be really uncomfortable," DeBoer said. "You know, and again, I said to those guys, it's not like I didn't feel like they didn't practice. We had a lot of motivation to come back and have a great week and prepare for this game, but moving forward, it's going to be even more another level of uncomfortable. A lot of guys haven't been through the last year or the last two, and so I think that I know they feel it, and our older guys had mentioned that even a couple of weeks ago, just what it's going to be like here on this stretch."

"The key is that you just hone in on one game. Don't look at the big picture. Just hone in on one game and believe that you have a team that can get it done. I felt like at the end of the game, I thought I was just looking at the guys in their eyes and stuff, they were scrapping until the end, going to keep playing, and that's what this is going to be about moving forward is you know continuing to believe that we are gonna find a way, and you gotta pick up and come to work."

"You just mentioned the SEC and all the teams. Everyone is going through it, so who's gonna respond and get it done. We've been through this before, and we've gotten it done, and we got to make sure we get it done here moving forward, and I told the guys this is the team that can do it. This is a team that can do that, and so, you got to catch some breaks. You got to stay healthy, but that's everyone across the board."

Looking ahead, Alabama will have one game to play before the Crimson Tide reach their bye week, which will come this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 24, against Texas A&M. That game will be played at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Alabama now sits at 5-2 overall (3-2 SEC).
