Texas A&M's 2026 season will continue, as the Aggies sit at 3-3 and 1-3 in SEC play, looking like one of the worst overall teams in the conference after falling to No. 14 Missouri on the road 27-6 after leading 3-0 in the first quarter, as starting quarterback Marcel Reed was pressured 13 times, combined with a running game that produced 29 yards.

However, the Aggie defense, especially the secondary, gave Texas A&M's offense plenty of chances to respond with a score, but nothing worked for first-year OC Holmon Wiggins, who did a poor job designing an up-tempo offense to get the ball out of Marcel Reed's hands quickly.

All three of the Aggies' SEC losses have been by 10 points or more, while the offense failed to score touchdowns against LSU and Missouri, and Marcel Reed hasn't thrown a touchdown pass since A&M's Week 3 loss to Kentucky. Things are bad and could get worse for the Aggies, with Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas still on the schedule after hosting The Citadel this weekend.

Across the rest of the SEC, Kentucky is now 5-1 after defeating LSU in overtime, while Georgia looks like the conference's best team after downing Alabama 20-17 in Tuscaloosa. Texas's shocking loss to Oklahoma, a team that looks only slightly better than A&M, puts the Longhorns in a tough spot with several tough opponents ahead.

For Aggie fans reading this, the latest US LBM Coaches Poll update has little to do with Texas A&M or rankings, given the state of the program, and more to do with what the rest of the college football landscape will look like heading into Week 7.
