The list below doesn’t even include several fantastic Big Ten match-ups, which were highlighted on Thursday. Enjoy your Saturday!
Florida at (#7)Texas
Noon, ABC
Both teams enter the game licking their wounds. Texas is coming off a loss to Oklahoma thanks to a fourth quarter collapse. Florida has been blown out in its last two games after reaching the top 10. This will be a fight where the winner has a “get right” game while the loser will be searching for answers.
Prediction: Texas-23, Florida-16
(#16)Mississippi State at (#22)LSU
Noon, ESPN
The big question is will Kamario Taylor and Fluff Bothwell be on the field for Mississippi State? Both are listed as questionable, and their absences will factor heavily into the outcome if the Bulldogs are without their two best player makers. If they’re able to go, we may see a meltdown in Baton Rogue if a third loss comes in mid-October.
Prediction: LSU-31, Mississippi State-24
Kansas at Kansas State
Noon, FS1
This game isn’t likely to have any significance on the national picture. The Jayhawks are limping in at 2-3, while the Wildcats have lost their last two games. However, it’s still a rivalry game that means the world to the players on the field. Expect a hard fought, four-quarter battle that will be a nice way to start off your Saturday viewing.
Prediction: Kansas State-30, Kansas-28
(#6)Alabama at (#14)Tennessee
3:30 p.m., ABC
Former Nittany Lion Xavier Gilliam has blossomed into one of the nation’s best defensive tackles in Tennessee. Now he gets to face a banged up Alabama offensive line. He’ll need plenty of help to get past ‘Bama, who still look to ba a strong national title contender despite last week’s close loss to Georgia.
Prediction: Alabama-24, Tennessee-21
(#13)Missouri at (#9)Ole Miss
3:30 p.m., SECN
It’s a battle of two one-loss teams looking to keep chasing an SEC crown and playoff berth. This will be a true “Separation Saturday” game where we see which is the more legit contender. Mizzou has been wildly impressive since their close loss to Mississippi State, but like any team, will have their hands full trying to slow down Trinidad Chambliss. Tigers quarterback Austin Simmons will also have some extra motivation after losing his starting job at Ole Miss early last season.
Prediction: Missouri-38, Ole Miss-34
North Carolina at Duke
3:30 p.m., ESPN2
See the explanation above for Kansas-Kansas State. UNC will be out for revenge after Duke’s stunning comeback victory in 2025…not that much extra motivated is needed in an intense rivalry game.
Prediction: Duke-23, North Carolina-20
(#2)Notre Dame at (#8)BYU
7:30 p.m., ABC
This may be the biggest home game in BYU’s history. The Cougars have a suffocating defense, and the offense has improved thanks to the progress from quarterback Bear Bachmeier. However, BYU will be without star running back and reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, L.J. Martin. This will be by far the biggest test thus far for the Irish, who will need to stay focused in what will be an extremely raucous environment in Provo.
Prediction: Notre Dame-27, BYU-24
(#15)Kentucky at Oklahoma
7:30 p.m., SECN
Both teams are coming off extremely emotional upset victories, which is often followed up by a letdown game. The winner will likely be whichever team was able to settle back in and regain its focus this week. There’s plenty on the line, as Oklahoma looks for back-to-back ranked wins after salvaging its season with a victory over #1 Texas, while Kentucky can move to 6-1 and be one of the best stories of 2026 in Will Stein’s first season as head coach.
Prediction: Kentucky-24, Oklahoma-20
