Some of the Big 10 teams we expected to be firmly positioned in the top 25 have disappointed and some who looked like bottom-dwellers have established themselves as contenders. As much as things have changed, the top two teams in the standings have stayed fixed. Ohio St-Indiana looked like the biggest game of the year and still seems that way now that it’s here. You can discuss Hoosiers-Buckeyes and the rest of Week 7 here.

Friday Evening – The Dawgs play another Friday game, but that’s another match-up for another game thread. That’s the only P4 game of the night, but if you’re desperate for something to put on a second screen, Memphis visits Tulane 30 minutes before the UW kickoff.

Saturday Early – Fox’s Big Noon game lives up to its name with the aforementioned OSU-IU showdown. The early window also has LSU hosting Mississippi St. Maybe if LSU loses again, they slide all the way to #25. Unranked? No way. Texas looks to bounce back at home against Florida, and Northwestern tries to keep its momentum going against former coach Pat Fitzgerald at Michigan State.

Saturday Midday – Alabama narrowly lost to Georgia in a great game last week. It didn’t hurt the perception of their quality, but they’ll need to win at Tennessee to maintain it. Missouri has been surprisingly good and will face a tough test at Ole Miss. Michigan and Penn St face off as a battle of one-legged men in an butt-kicking contest. Arizona St will test out its new play calling structure (now with less Dilly) against #10 Texas Tech.

Saturday Evening – Florida St and Miami doesn’t have the luster it did in the Bowden-Erickson days, but I’m sure the Noles would love to put a dent in Miami’s CFP resume. BYU hosts Notre Dame in a battle of top 10 teams, though the Irish are still a 10.5 point favorite on the road. Houston hosts Oklahoma St, where both teams are ranked and contending for the B12. The After Dark slot is solid, too: Oregon vs. Nebraska, Cal vs. Wake Forest, and Colorado vs. Utah.
