The No. 7 Texas Longhorns have lost two straight games after falling 27-24 to the Florida Gators in Week 7. It was another game in which the offense largely struggled, and now some of the fanbase is wondering if moving on from head coach Steve Sarkisian might be what’s best for the program.
Texas ended the day with just 272 total yards of offense. The Longhorns only managed to record 13 first downs and went 2-10 on third-down conversions. Additionally, the program allowed five sacks, was forced to punt four times, and lost a fumble from quarterback Arch Manning (who went 173 yards and threw one touchdown with a 70.0% completion percentage) that allowed Florida to steal the win.
The offense has been putrid this year, as it appeared to be difficult for Texas to move the ball down the field. Considering Sarkisian is the program’s playcaller, the fanbase hopped on social media, sharing their frustration with the 52-year-old.

“Sark needs to go. Now,” one fan said.
This user stated, “Oh, they lost. Sark needs to [be] fired today. All the resources in the world and he can’t coach for nothing.”
“Fire Sark, bench Arch #hookem,” posted another upset fan.
This individual claimed, “Sark on the hot seat.”
“Do you think Sark even realizes he just lost to a backup QB on an unranked team at home while having one of the best rosters in the country?” Barstool Longhorns asked.
To make matters worse, things are not going to get any easier for Steve Sarkisian and his offense. Texas is scheduled to take on the Ole Miss Rebels, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Missouri Tigers, and LSU Tigers.
