Texas A&M football is back in the win column after a 41-0 shutout of The Citadel at Kyle Field on Saturday, moving to 4-3.
The Aggies' young stars stepped up against the Bulldogs, especially on offense. Freshman KJ Edwards led the way for Texas A&M, rushing for 116 yards on 13 carries, while sophomore Jamarion Morrow notched 54 yards on eight carries and three touchdowns in the win. Meanwhile, freshman wideout Aaron Gregory and sophomore TK Norman combined for 182 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
While the youth stepping up was a massive bright spot for the Aggies, junior quarterback Marcel Reed still had some inaccurate passes, outside of a 37-yard bomb to Gregory. Brady Hart received some playing time at quarterback to showcase what he could potentially bring to the position moving forward, going 8-of-12 for 107 yards and one touchdown.
Much improvement is needed moving forward. No more non-conference games are on the docket for head coach Mike Elko and company, who will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to take on the Crimson Tide next Saturday.

Youth shines through in the non-conference win
Texas A&M does exactly what they’re supposed to do and dominate Citadel by a score of 41-0!!
The theme of the day was “youth” as KJ Edwards, Aaron Gregory, and many other young players really shined all day long!— Aggie Sports 365 (@365Aggie) October 17, 2026
