The hits just keep coming for Texas A&M football, as head coach Mike Elko announced that an Aggie offensive lineman will miss the rest of the season due to injury.

Following the Aggies' ugly 27-6 loss to No. 14 Missouri on Saturday, Elko said Blake Ivy will be out for the remainder of the 2026 season. Ivy reportedly suffered an injury during practice this past week. He appeared on every SEC availability report leading up to Saturday's contest against the Tigers.

Ivy started for the first three weeks, then became a rotational backup for the Aggie offensive line in the next two contests. Regardless, losing Ivy is a massive blow to Texas A&M's depth, something it can't afford. The Aggies enter Week 7 with a 3-3 overall record and a 1-3 mark in SEC play.

In five games for the Aggies in 2026, Ivy earned a 56.5 pass-block grade and a 71.9 run-block grade per Pro Football Focus. Texas A&M has been rotating the offensive line and trying to change things up to protect Marcel Reed and spark the rushing attack, but it hasn't worked well. Lamont Rogers has been the biggest bright spot up front, after being promoted to right tackle a couple of games ago.

Elko and company have some major things to improve moving forward. The Aggies will host The Citadel before traveling to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to face the Crimson Tide's physical and dominant defensive line. With injuries and a lack of urgency in the football program right now, it could be a long season for Texas A&M.
