The FSU Seminoles lost to the Louisville Cardinals on Friday, falling to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in ACC play with the loss. While their next game will be tough, the rest of the schedule is starting to look easier.
The Florida Gators were crushed by the South Carolina Gamecocks and are no longer ranked in the updated US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 6. It is their second straight loss, and they are now 4-2 overall. The Pittsburgh Panthers, whom FSU will play on Nov. 13, are also unranked after losing to the North Carolina Tar Heels.
FSU will be in for their toughest test of the season on Saturday, when they play the No. 3 Miami Hurricanes on the road. The Seminoles have lost their last 11 road games, while the Hurricanes are the best team in the ACC and a national championship contender.
Miami is one of three ACC teams to crack the top 25, with the No. 22 SMU Mustangs and No. 23 Wake Forest Demon Deacons also ranked. The Duke Blue Devils, Pittsburgh Panthers, and North Carolina Tar Heels all received votes, just not enough to be ranked.
