Texas defensive lineman Hero Kanu has been named one of 20 semifinalists for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award. It is the third consecutive season that a Longhorn has reached the semifinalist stage.
Kanu's community work includes hosting eight free football camps in Germany and France and donating more than 100 pairs of shoes to children in need. The award recognizes courage, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership on and off the field.
