Tennessee basketball will debut a brand new roster for its first exhibition game of the 2026-27 season.

The Vols play Xavier on Oct. 15 (7 p.m. ET, SEC Network+) at Food City Center.

Tennessee has 13 new players on the roster, including transfer guards Juke Harris (Wake Forest), Terrence Hill Jr. (VCU), Dai Dai Ames (California) and Jalen Haralson (Notre Dame).

Meanwhile, coach Rick Barnes is searching for answers in the frontcourt with Jalen Washington, a 6-foot-10 Vanderbilt transfer, ineligible while awaiting a ruling in his lawsuit against the NCAA.

The Vols haven't played Xavier since Nov. 29, 2013 at the Battle 4 Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas. But they have won five of six games played in the series this century.
