Ohio is a prime example, as recruits across the various counties spend years dreaming of the chance to wear the scarlet and grey and take the field inside Ohio Stadium.You can probably add former Pickerington star Rasheem Biles to that list. Unfortunately, when his time in high school was nearing an end, he was not recruited by the Buckeyes and instead went to play for Pittsburgh. However, the opportunity to return home emerged in the spring after Ohio State took note of a big freshman season as he posted 101 tackles and 4.5 sacks.However, when OSU came calling in the transfer portal, Biles shut the door on a reunion and instead took his talents to Texas for the 2026 season. On Sept. 12, Biles will get to show Ohio State what they missed out on when the Longhorns welcome the Buckeyes to Austin in Week 2 of the season. During a chat with the media this week, Biles was asked about why he picked Texas over Ohio State, and he did not hide his still-lingering frustration about being overlooked while in high school.“I told my mom, I ain’t really trying to be in Columbus. I ain’t trying to be a Buckeye. They didn’t want me out of high school… I’m excited for that game, definitely.
