Notre Dame football wasn’t active this weekend, but with plenty of other teams falling that were ranked in front of them, including BYU, an upward move was made in the US LBM Coaches Poll following Week 8.

The Irish entered the week as the No. 8 team, falling six spots after the loss to the Cougars, who were then upset by unranked UCF on the road. Another game of note for a team ranked ahead of Notre Dame, Indiana, who faced Ohio State last weekend, struggled to beat Michigan, needing overtime with Irish quarterback CJ Carr in-house to see his younger brother, Tommy, making his first start for the Wolverines. Seems like having a bye following a huge contest was a good idea for the Irish and Buckeyes.

Along with BYU, Ole Miss, and Texas Tech lost inside the top-10, prompting another shakeup at the top of the rankings. Find out below where Notre Dame landed in the latest Coaches Poll along with each team’s record and their previous ranking in parentheses and if they received first place votes.
