Texas A&M football coach Mike Elko didn't have many answers for his team's offensive collapse Saturday, but he had plenty to say about the criticism coming from frustrated Aggies fans.
Following Texas A&M's embarrassing 27-6 loss to No. 14 Missouri, Elko acknowledged his team's problems, questioned whether a quarterback change would accomplish anything and took an unexpected shot at a popular Aggies fan website.

The third-year head coach wasn't interested in sugarcoating his team's performance.
"Another disappointing road performance. Couldn't get the offense going. I own every part of this," Elko said.
And the numbers explain his frustration.
Texas A&M managed just 29 rushing yards, while quarterback Marcel Reed completed 19 of 39 passes for 187 yards and two interceptions. The Aggies failed to score a touchdown for the second time in three games.
Missouri running back Jamal Roberts, meanwhile, shredded the Aggies' defense for 222 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
The defeat dropped Texas A&M to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in SEC play.
But perhaps the most revealing moment of Elko's press conference came when reporters questioned whether backup quarterback Brady Hart should replace Reed.
"It doesn't feel like it's the move that will help us," Elko said.
That response will likely frustrate Aggies fans who have watched Reed struggle to generate consistent offense against conference opponents.
Elko also acknowledged that his staff must reconsider its approach.
"We have to go back to the drawing board and figure this out. It's not nearly good enough," he said.
When asked which aspect of Saturday's performance disappointed him most, his answer was considerably shorter.
"Everything."
Then came the afternoon's most controversial exchange.
Asked what message he had for supporters questioning the direction of the program, Elko distinguished between Texas A&M's fan base and its online critics.
"Billy's cesspool can go be Billy's cesspool," Elko said, referring to TexAgs and its co-owner Billy Liucci.
Elko urged other supporters to remain patient, insisting the program would eventually deliver on its promises.
Reed, meanwhile, defended offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins and maintained that the scheme wasn't responsible for the team's struggles.
"There is nothing wrong with the offense," Reed said, pointing instead to recurring execution mistakes.
But the results are becoming increasingly difficult to defend.
Texas A&M entered the season with College Football Playoff aspirations. Six games later, the Aggies have already suffered three conference defeats and face growing questions about their offensive leadership.
Elko has made it clear he isn't ready to abandon Reed.
Whether that confidence is justified remains another matter entirely.

For now, the Aggies have a frustrated head coach, an ineffective offense and a fan base running out of patience.
And unless something changes quickly, Saturday's uncomfortable press conference might be only the beginning.
