Florida football returns from its bye week Saturday for one of the biggest games of Jon Sumrall's first season.

The No. 17 Gators (5-2, 3-2 SEC) face No. 3 Georgia (6-1, 4-1) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta — the first time the Florida-Georgia matchup will be played there. Florida enters after a 27-24 road win over Texas, while Georgia is coming off its first loss of the season, a 27-24 setback against Auburn.

Aaron Philo is set to return as Florida's starting quarterback after missing the Texas game with a shoulder injury. The Gators will also be monitoring several availability questions around the offense, including wide receivers Vernell Brown III and Bailey Stockton.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Get real-time updates, scoring plays, turning points and expert analysis throughout Florida's game against Georgia. Follow along for highlights, injury news, key plays and instant breakdowns as the Gators take on the Bulldogs.

Tim Tebow breaks down Florida's keys to upsetting Georgia

02:29 PM ET, October 31 2026, David Rosenberg

Tim Tebow agrees with Florida's decision to start Aaron Philo against Georgia, but the former Gators quarterback believes Tramell Jones Jr. has earned an opportunity to contribute as well.

Speaking on ESPN's SportsCenter ahead of Saturday's rivalry matchup, Tebow praised Jones' performance in Florida's upset win over Texas and suggested the Gators could use both quarterbacks against the Bulldogs. He even raised the possibility of Philo and Jones sharing the field.

Final SEC availability report for Florida-Georgia

02:07 PM ET, October 31 2026, David Rosenberg

Florida will be without wide receiver Vernell Brown III for a fourth consecutive game after the second-year standout was ruled out on the SEC's final availability report Saturday.

Brown had been listed as probable Wednesday and Thursday before being downgraded to questionable Friday. Gators Online reported that he missed two practices this week following a minor setback with the knee injury he suffered against Ole Miss on Sept. 26.

Brown has 17 receptions for 271 yards and two touchdowns this season, along with two punt-return touchdowns. His absence means Florida will again be unable to field its full trio of Brown, Dallas Wilson and Eric Singleton Jr. against No. 3 Georgia.
