Texas heads to Knoxville after taking care of UTSA 30-6 in its final non-conference game. Arch Manning threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, both to Cam Coleman, while the Longhorns rushing attack piled up 228 yards. The bigger story was the defense, which held UTSA to just 142 total yards and only nine first downs. Texas has also already survived a major early-season test, rallying past Ohio State 24-23 in Week 2.

Tennessee has been equally perfect through three games and comes into its SEC opener off a 42-9 rout of Kennesaw State. The Volunteers did most of their damage on the ground, rushing for 268 yards as Daune Morris led the way with 116 yards and a touchdown. Freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon added 178 passing yards with a touchdown through the air and another on the ground. Tennessee has scored at least 40 points in each of its first three games.
