The Florida Gators got off to a dream start in the 2026 college football season, but have hit a couple of roadblocks over the last two weeks.
After winning their first four games, including one against the Ole Miss Rebels, they have lost their last two in blowout fashion. They lost 45-17 to the Missouri Tigers on Oct. 3, then lost 38-19 to the South Carolina Gamecocks this past Saturday.

That game against the Gamecocks was in Gainesville, and as expected, the fans weren’t happy. They voiced their frustration with boos throughout.
Florida head coach Jon Sumrall heard the boos and told reporters on Monday that he has no problem with them. He loves that the fans care that much.
“They have the right to boo,” Sumrall said. “The thing I love Zach, we have freaking awesome, passionate fans. Like, why you come to the University of Florida is cause people care. They got the right to boo.”
Gators fans want to see the program play well because they spend hard-earned money on it. They also want to see the program back to where it used to be.
The tough schedule continues for Florida

The schedule won’t get any easier for the Gators when they travel to Austin to play the No. 7 Texas Longhorns this Saturday. They’ll then play the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs on Halloween.
Kickoff for next week’s game between the Gators and Longhorns will be at noon ET.
