Florida football suffered its first loss of the Jon Sumrall era on Saturday with a brutal 45-17 loss to the Missouri Tigers in Columbia. Nothing seemed to go right for the Gators, who were held to just 42 yards on the ground and 325 yards overall, while allowing a whopping 560 total yards on defense; penalties were also a significant factor in the defeat.

Following the Week 5 loss, Florida took a tumble in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, falling seven spots to No. 15. That sandwiches the Orange and Blue between a pair of Southeastern Conference schools: No. 14 Tennessee and No. 16 Missouri.

In this week's rankings, the SEC is back up to 10 teams among the top 25, headlined by top-ranked Texas and second-ranked Georgia, followed by Alabama (No. 7), LSU (No. 10), Ole Miss (No. 11), Tennessee (No. 14), Florida (No. 15), Missouri (No. 16), Mississippi State (No. 20) and Kentucky (No. 25). Texas A&M is the only other conference school appearing on the ballot, earning just one lonely vote.

Next up, Florida returns to the Swamp to host South Carolina for its annual homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 10. The action kicks off early with a 12:45 p.m. ET start time and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.
