The Alabama Crimson Tide are preparing to face the Tennessee Volunteers without wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams after head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an injury update Monday.
DeBoer said there is a “pretty good chance” Coleman-Williams won’t play Saturday in Knoxville as he deals with multiple injuries suffered or aggravated during Alabama’s 20-17 loss to Georgia.
“Ryan’s got a couple things going on, work through an injury with his knee that’s been kind of going on, and we’ll deal with that,” DeBoer said. “Got the head issue as well, so we’re gonna address it here this week, and (there’s a) pretty good chance we wouldn’t have him here this weekend. I think it’d probably be week-to-week after that.”

Coleman-Williams left the Georgia game late in the first half after landing awkwardly while attempting to make a catch in the end zone. He returned after halftime but exited for good in the fourth quarter following a hit before banging his head on the ground.
The junior has also worn a brace on his right knee during Alabama’s past two games. Before facing Georgia, Coleman-Williams called the brace “precautionary,” saying, “I’m good” before playing the Bulldogs.
Considering his situation, DeBoer praised the receiver for playing through injury.
“These guys go through things throughout the week that you don’t see,” DeBoer said. “Ryan in particular has been doing that and leading the charge not just with what he does to try and be out there on the football field for practice, but the energy and just trying to be uplifting and (a uniting) factor not just for our offense, but for our football team.”

Coleman-Williams has 23 receptions for 415 yards and four touchdowns this season. He caught three passes for 39 yards against Georgia before leaving.
If he is unavailable, Lotzeir Brooks, Rico Scott, Derek Meadows, Cederian Morgan and Noah Rogers are among Alabama’s remaining receiving options.
