Georgia Update

The Georgia Bulldogs went into Tuscaloosa and got a victory for the first time since 2007. Heck, it was the Bulldogs’ first victory over Alabama in the regular season since 2007. We aren’t here to relitigate the poor officiating in this column, but we are here to discuss how Georgia’s third fourth string running backs, Dwight Philips Jr. and Bo Walker, ran for a combined 189 yards against Alabama.

This victory cemented Georgia’s claim to the #1 spot in the polls, with the Bulldogs receiving 66 of a possible 70 first place votes. The Bulldogs return to Athens this Saturday to square off against Auburn in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

Upset Alert

Oklahoma is a seven point home favorite against #15 Kentucky. Did Oklahoma really turn it around against Texas, or is there a let down? Can the Cardiac Cats pull off another stunner? Give me the Wildcats in a close one here, with first year head coach Will Stein continuing to press all the right buttons (and being sorely missed in Eugene).
