Kenan Stadium will be the site of UNC's most important, regular season football matchup since before the COVID-19 pandemic. On Saturday night, UNC hosts top-ranked Miami (FL) for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

While several families will line neighborhoods throughout Chapel Hill trick-or-treating, college football fans will spend their Halloween night watching the Tar Heels (4-3, 2-2 ACC) and Hurricanes (7-0, 5-0 ACC). North Carolina is a 2-point conversion away from hosting College GameDay, while Miami is destroying virtually everyone in its path.

UNC is playing much better football in head coach Bill Belichick's second season, already equaling its win total from 2025. The Tar Heels have upset victories over TCU, then-ranked Pitt and archival Duke, plus a blowout win against ETSU. North Carolina should arguably be 6-1, but a pair of fourth-quarter collapses thwarted that chance.

The Hurricanes didn't miss a beat from their College Football Playoff runner-up campaign in January, winning all but one of their first seven games this fall.

Duke transfer Darian Mensah continues lighting up defenses, totaling 2,151 passing yards and 22 touchdowns, both of which rank Top 10 amongst his peers. Malachi Toney continues proving himself as college football's premier pass-catcher, with 66 receptions, a whopping 952 receiving yards and 11 touchdown. Whether you're looking at pass-rusher Marquise Lightfoot, defensive back JJ Dunnigan or someone else, Miami's defense is just as good.

Billy Edwards is putting the Tar Heels in position to win, playing turnover-free football each of the past two weeks, finding a red-hot connection with WR1 Jordan Shipp. UNC's run game showed signs of life against Syracuse, despite its run defense doing the exact opposite.

If you still need Halloween plans, buy those tickets and trick-or-treat yourself all the way down to Kenan. If you're watching this can't-miss matchup on TV, your favorite streaming device, listening on the radio or somewhere else, keep reading below for more broadcast information.

For the first time in seven seasons, North Carolina will face a top-ranked football team. The Tar Heels are 0-11 in their previous tries, coming within another 2-point conversion against Clemson in 2019.

UNC has five straight wins against Miami, but this is the best Hurricanes team since...last season. North Carolina has the offense to compete early against Miami, but will it have enough to last 60 minutes?

The Hurricanes are explosive and the Tar Heels are coming off an abysmal defensive performance. UNC might be able to neutralize Miami at times, but it will struggle.

North Carolina has to play picture-perfect football to beat the Hurricanes, which I just don't see them doing. The Hurricanes win big in Chapel Hill and trick the fans.
