ESPN’s “College GameDay” announced its Week 9 destination on Sunday afternoon. It’s a questionable one.

The ESPN college football pregame show announced on Sunday that it will be heading to Bloomington, Indiana for the showdown between the Hoosiers and the “upset-minded” Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Minnesota is a three-touchdown underdog against Indiana.

“GET READY, BLOOMINGTON‼️ We’re coming to your city to see the defending champ Hoosiers against the upset-minded Gophers 🙌,” they announced.

College football fans, though, are pushing back.

“Minnesota is a 21 point underdog what are we doing,” one fan wrote on X.

“Y’all complained about gameday going to the SEC so much that now we have to watch this. I hate y’all, man,” one fan added on X.

“Pat made the call. Needed to be home in time for trick-or-treating. I get it. 😀,” one fan joked on X.

College football’s Week 9 slate doesn’t have a ton of options, though

If you take a look at the Week 9 slate, you’ll understand that ESPN’s “College GameDay” didn’t have a ton of options.

You do have Ohio State at USC, Florida vs. Georgia and Arizona vs. Texas Tech, however, nothing really stands out.

Ohio State at USC is probably the most exciting game, but it seems like ESPN’s “College GameDay” wanted to give the defending national champions the spotlight.

Is it the right call?
