It’s Week 6, and the LSU Tigers will be on the road this Saturday night to take on Kentucky Wildcats.

LSU will enter this SEC road matchup against Kentucky at 4-1 after cruising past McNeese 63-14 on Saturday night. The Tigers have now won two straight since their loss at Ole Miss, including an impressive 35-6 victory over Texas A&M.

Kentucky also comes into this matchup at 4-1 after escaping South Carolina with a 35-34 overtime victory Saturday. The Wildcats have now won three straight since suffering their only loss of the season, a 45-17 defeat against Alabama.

For LSU, the game represents an opportunity to build on the momentum of the past two weeks while picking up a much-needed SEC road victory. The Tigers have looked like a much more complete team since their loss at Ole Miss, particularly on defense, and will now have to carry that success away from Tiger Stadium.

The Wildcats have already shown they can be dangerous in the SEC after going into College Station and defeating Texas A&M 31-21 before surviving an overtime battle at South Carolina. Now they will return home looking to add another victory to their record against LSU.

Saturday will also mark LSU’s first trip to Lexington since 2021, when Kentucky defeated the Tigers 42-21. LSU hasn’t won at Kentucky since the memorable 33-30 “Bluegrass Miracle” in 2002, adding another storyline to the Tigers season.

According to our friends at FanDuel, LSU is currently a 9.5-point favorite over Kentucky with the over/under set at 54.5 points. However, expect some movement in those numbers as the week progress.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00p.m. CT at Kroger Field in Lexington on ESPN.
