Buckle up, Gophers basketball fans. You’re going to need access to more than a handful of television and streaming services to watch every Minnesota men’s basketball game this season.

On Tuesday, the Gophers released the TV assignments for the 34-game slate, including 32 regular-season contests and two exhibitions. In perfect 2026 fashion, they will play on six different channels or streaming providers, and two games are undecided.

Mark your calendars!📆

Big Ten Network+ (BTN+)

As of Oct. 6, the annual price for BTN+ is $89.99. If you want just a monthly pass, it’s $12.99. The Gophers will have four home games on the streaming service this season: the first exhibition against Omaha, the regular-season opener against North Dakota, and two more nonconference games against Southern and UTSA.

  • Thursday, Oct. 15: vs. Omaha (exhibition)
  • Monday, Nov. 2: vs. North Dakota
  • Thursday, Nov. 12: vs. Southern
  • Tuesday, Dec. 29: vs. UTSA

Peacock/NBC Sports Network (NBCSN)

A basic Peacock subscription does not include live sports, and the premium plan costs $12.99/month or $129.99/year. The Premium Plus plan with no ads costs $19.99/month or $199.99/year. NBCSN officially returns in 2025, and it is included in the majority of cable packages, so you wouldn’t need a Peacock subscription if your service carries the channel.

The Gophers’ highly anticipated nonconference game with St. Thomas will be on Peacock or NBCSN, along with their Big Ten home opener against Illinois, a road game against UCLA, and a late-February home test against Northwestern.

  • Friday, Nov. 6: vs. St. Thomas
  • Tuesday, Dec. 8: vs. Illinois
  • Tuesday, Feb. 9: @ UCLA
  • Sunday, Feb. 21: vs. Northwestern

ESPN+

Arguably, Minnesota’s biggest nonconference matchup in years against Cincinnati on the road didn’t even get a TV network. Syracuse-Indiana is currently the only other confirmed power conference vs. power conference matchup for that night, but I guess Minnesota-Cincinnati couldn’t draw ESPN, BTN, FS1, or NBCSN.

An ESPN Unlimited subscription currently costs $31.99/month or $319.99 for the whole year. You could do the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited bundle for $35.99/month.

  • Monday, Nov. 9: @ Cincinnati

Big Ten Network (BTN)

BTN is carried by every major cable or streaming package in the Midwest, and the Gophers will play 17 games on the network this season.

  • Monday, Nov. 16: vs. Western Illinois
  • Saturday, Nov. 28: vs. California (Sanford Pentagon)
  • Wednesday, Dec. 2: @ Michigan State
  • Wednesday, Dec. 16: vs. Texas Southern
  • Sunday, Dec. 20: vs. Alcorn State
  • Sunday, Jan. 3: @ Northwestern
  • Wednesday, Jan. 6: vs. Penn State
  • Saturday, Jan. 9: @ Wisconsin
  • Tuesday, Jan. 12: @ Michigan
  • Sunday, Jan. 17: vs. Purdue
  • Wednesday, Jan. 20: vs. Indiana
  • Saturday, Jan. 23: @ Rutgers
  • Tuesday, Jan. 26: vs. Washington
  • Sunday, Jan. 31: vs. Wisconsin
  • Saturday, Feb. 13: vs. Oregon
  • Wednesday, Feb. 24: @ Maryland
  • Saturday, Feb. 28: @ Iowa

Fox Sports 1 (FS1)

Once football season winds down, FS1 becomes a home for college basketball games, and the Gophers will have four conference games on the network, starting on Feb. 6 against USC on the road.

  • Saturday, Feb. 6: @ USC
  • Tuesday, Feb. 16: vs. Michigan
  • Thursday, Mar. 4: vs. Ohio State
  • Sunday, Mar. 7: @ Nebraska

ESPN2

It’s rare for the Gophers to play on ESPN networks, given the Big Ten’s current TV deal with FOX, NBC, and CBS, but the Charleston Classic has a deal with ESPN, so the Gophers will play Oklahoma State and Utah on ESPN2 over Thanksgiving Week.

  • Friday, Nov. 20: vs. Oklahoma State (Charleston Classic)
  • Sunday, Nov. 22: vs. Utah (Charleston Classic)

To be decided

The Gophers’ marquee exhibition game against Creighton on Oct. 23 currently does not have a TV assignment, along with an intriguing nonconference matchup with SMU in Frisco, Texas.

  • Friday, Oct. 23: @ Creighton (exhibition)
  • Saturday, Dec. 12: vs. SMU (Frisco, Texas)
