The Utah Utes moved up one spot to No. 11 in the latest AP Top 25 College Football poll. After a 41-24 win over Kansas on Saturday night, Morgan Scalley's team is now knocking on the door outside of the top 10.
Despite being undefeated at 5-0, the Utes are still the third-best team in the Big 12. BYU is still the highest-ranked team in the league, with Texas Tech (No. 10), Oklahoma State (No. 18) and Houston (No. 20) also representing the conference in the poll. Arizona was also among the teams receiving votes as well.
The Utes opponent this week is Colorado, who has yet to get a Big 12 win in 2026. Utah handed the Buffs one of the worst losses of the season last year in Salt Lake City. The Utes moved up after last week's No. 1 Texas lost in the Red River Rivalry game to Oklahoma.
Georgia is the new No. 1 team in the country. Utah should take care of business in Boulder on Saturday and will most likely move up again after Week 7. BYU and Notre Dame are ranked ahead of the Utes and face each other in Provo. It's the first-ever top-10 matchup in the history of LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Outside of Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State and Indiana round out the top five. The Buckeyes are the only team in that group with a loss. Alabama, Texas, BYU, Ole Miss and Texas Tech round out the top 10 for this week.
