Vitals: UCF is coming off its worst loss of the season to Baylor. The Bears dismantled their defense in a 41-9 win and handed the Knights their second straight loss in Space Game history. Kansas is also coming off a 22-16 loss to the TCU Horned Frogs. The Jayhawks’ run game is their bread and butter with Dylan Edward’s having a career year. Both programs aim to return to the win column, but much more rides on the Knights who are on a 12-game road losing streak.

UCF Could Be Getting Healthy Soon
Lineback Lewis Carter and offensive lineman Jacob Maiava are questionable, while Taevion Swint is probable.
Carter has missed all conference games with a knee injury he sustained in Week 3 against the Georgia State Panthers. Coach Scott Frost was unaware that his star linebacker went to the medical tent at the end of the game.
Maiava has broken out as the Knights' starting center as a redshirt freshman. He started four consecutive matches, beginning in Week 3 against Georgia State.
The promising center went down against Houston on Oct. 3, and teammates helped him off the field. Maiava returned against Baylor last week, but got injured again, and trainers tended to him.
Swint's return would bolster the running game that has lacked his speed alongside Duke Watson. He, Watson and Landen Chamber give Frost and offensive coordinator Steve Cooper versatility in multiple scenarios.
The two speedsters break open big plays, running through gaps and blazing past defenders. Chambers is the hard-nosed back used in goal-line situations to push through the trenches.
