Time, TV channels for Auburn's SEC games are revealed

The 2026-27 college basketball season is fast approaching, and Auburn fans have plenty to be excited about. To add to that excitement, Auburn now knows the date, time, and network assignments for its SEC schedule.

Auburn will begin its conference schedule on Jan. 2 at Texas A&M. The two met only once last season when the Aggies defeated the Tigers 90-88. Keshawn Murphy hit the potential game-winning three-pointer, but it was waved off by officials after it was determined he did not get the shot off in time. That game could have been the difference in Auburn potentially making the NCAA Tournament last season.

Auburn's SEC home opener will be four days later when they host the Tennessee Volunteers at 6 p.m. CT on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. It is always a physical contest when Auburn faces the Volunteers. Auburn will play three matchups against their rivals Alabama this season. The first one will just be an exhibition game in Birmingham on Oct. 22. Their first official meeting of the season will be on Jan. 30 with a Saturday matchup in Tuscaloosa in the early evening on either ESPN or ESPN2. The two will close out the regular season on March 6 in Auburn on the SEC Network with a 5 p.m. CT start time.

Two other marquee games on the Auburn schedule are when they host the Florida Gators on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2. The other is a road trip to Kentucky to meet the Wildcats on either ESPN or ESPN2. Auburn will play five Saturday games at Neville Arena this season.

Head coach Steven Pearl and Auburn are looking for a bounce-back season after not making the NCAA Tournament last season. They will have to navigate an always tough SEC schedule to make it back to March Madness.
