Welcome to the Morning Five, where I provide you five numbers that explain what you’ll see this weekend when your Georgia Bulldogs take on the Auburn Tigers.Let’s do it.

10. That’s the total number of touchdowns Auburn has scored in their last nine games against the Red and Black. The average margin of victory in those games has been 17.5, and Georgia has won every one of them. It’s no exaggeration to say that since the ““we beat the dog crap out of them!” Gus Malzahn game in 2017 that Georgia has dominated this series in a way that neither team had ever dominated it before.

13. That’s Auburn’s rank in the SEC in scoring offense. They’re 11th in total offense. The Warplainstigereagle offense in year one under Alex Gilead has not been good, and they haven’t faced a defense that looks anything like Georgia’s. I expect a little bit of a letdown from that unit following that Alabama win, but there’s some margin of error here.

5. That’s the number of Bulldog receivers currently averaging north of 20.0 receiving yards per game. Eleven Bulldogs have at least five receptions. It’s difficult to say at this point whether the Red and Black offense is just that deep, or if Gunner Stockton is just that good at distributing the ball. But either way, it’s really hard to know where the ball is going to go in critical situations when the quarterback’s “go-to” receiver is “almost everyone.”

18. That’s the total number of sacks surrendered by the WarEagleKidsWhoDon’tReadGood this season, the highest total in the SEC. Some of that is the fact that the Barners have played from behind some this season. But a lot of it is an offensive line that looks mediocre. I don’t know that the Bulldogs will open the defensive playbook in this one, and we’ve been telling you not to bet on college football for two decades now. But if someone will give you an over/under of 2.9 defensive sacks for the Bulldogs I. This one, you should probably take the over.

70.59. That’s the Auburn offense’s red zone scoring percentage, also dead last in the SEC. Again, the story of this game is Auburn’s offense or lack thereof. Unless the Tigers figured out something during their bye week, which is possible, the Bulldogs probably need to get to 24 to win this one unless they gift the Aubbies some turnovers and short fields. Until later…

Go ‘‘Dawgs!!!
