Texas Tech entered halftime trailing 7-3 but forced four interceptions after the break. Brice Pollock recorded two picks, while Malik Esquerra added another before Curry’s interception in the fourth quarter. The play capped a strong second half from the Red Raiders’ defense.

Curry’s pick came after Texas Tech pinned Colorado at its own 1-yard line. Wilson then tried to make a play from the end zone.

The Red Raiders’ LB read the pass, reached up and secured the interception in the end zone. He then crossed the goal line for Texas Tech’s third pick-six in two games.

Colorado opened the game with a touchdown drive, but Texas Tech allowed no more points while forcing mistake after mistake. Wilson finished 26-of-44 for 290 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Colorado also had an interception thrown by receiver Joseph Williams on a failed trick play, giving Texas Tech a 4-0 turnover advantage.

Texas Tech’s offense did enough to capitalize. Will Hammond threw for 134 yards and a touchdown, while Quinten Joyner added a 30-yard rushing score late in the game.

The 29-7 victory improved the Red Raiders to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Big 12 play and kept them still undefeated. The Red Raiders will enter their bye week before hosting Arizona State on October 17.
