Colorado fell to 2-3 on the year with a 29-7 loss to Texas Tech on Saturday. The poor offensive showing and another loss have Colorado fans calling for Deion Sanders to be fired as head coach.
If they want another reason to call for Coach Prime’s job, an embarrassing gaffe before the game could help their case, per Geoff Schwartz of Fox Sports.
“So someone in Colorado’s program left their game plan playbook in the team hotel which was found by some Texas Tech fans. It appears to be authentic. WILD,” Schwartz posted on X, formerly Twitter.

A side-by-side of the plays run by Colorado against the leaked playbook shows that it was real. The script showed the first six plays of the first half and the starting plays of the second half. Ironically, the first drive of the game was the only points that Colorado had on the day. On that first drive, they ran nine plays for 75 yards and found the end zone on an Isaac Wilson pass to Joseph Williams.
The play script did not work nearly as well in the second half. On the second play of the drive, wide receiver Joseph Williams attempted a pass. It was intercepted, and the next drive led to three points for Texas Tech.
Colorado will be looking for their first Big 12 win of the year in two weeks. Colorado is off next week before facing a ranked Utah squad. Meanwhile, Texas Tech is getting a top-25 ranking and will also be off next week. They return to the field on October 17 against Arizona State.
