Texas begins a new soccer era at Mike A. Myers Stadium on August 12. The opener against HCU is the only home date before a three-match trip to Pitt, Arizona State and Grand Canyon, giving first-year head coach Margueritte Bates an immediate look at how her team travels and adjusts.
Bates arrived after four seasons at UCLA that included the 2022 national championship, two conference titles and four NCAA Tournament appearances. Her first Longhorn schedule carries an appropriate degree of difficulty: nine opponents reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The nonconference finale at TCU on September 6 leads directly into SEC play at defending conference champion Arkansas. Texas then gets its first league home date against Tennessee. The calendar creates a clear early theme—establish the new identity while spending much of the first month away from Austin.
