And no, not the 24-team version that appears to be on the horizon.
The Longhorns are definitely reeling. After failing to win the Red River Rivalry vs. Oklahoma, they were stunned by Florida at home this past weekend.
A loss to the Gators is not the worst defeat a team can suffer. Florida has talent, and they are definitely playing better than in years past. It is just the fact that, after starting 4-0 with wins over Ohio State and Tennessee, more was expected.
More was expected of Arch Manning.
More of the ground game.
And more from Steve Sarkisian.
But fear not, as the Longhorns can right the ship and be right back in contention starting this week.

Ole Miss pays a visit to Austin this coming Saturday night, bringing a Top 10 ranking with them. The Rebels handled Missouri after blasting Vanderbilt the week before. Their only loss: well, that came to Florida after besting LSU.
Nothing is going to be easy, as Trinidad Chambliss and company can score in bunches.
Missouri, LSU Still Remain On The Docket In November
After taking on Ole Miss this weekend, Texas closes out October with the other school from that state, Mississippi State. And while the Bulldogs have hit their own roadblock, they still have a nice resume.
With wins over Ole Miss and Mississippi State, the Longhorns would be 6-2 and right back in the thick of things.
From there, November brings a ranked Missouri team followed by LSU. Both of those are on the road. Texas closes out the year with Arkansas at home and Texas A&M on the road.
A 10-2 record would definitely mean a spot in the College Football Playoff, one would have to think. Especially considering it would include wins Ohio State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Missouri and LSU.
