Texas defensive lineman Hero Kanu earned semifinalist recognition for a national scholar-athlete award.
Texas fifth-year defensive lineman Hero Kanu was named a semifinalist for the 2026 William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes academic success, football performance and leadership.
Kanu is scheduled to graduate in December with a degree in Communication and Leadership and carries a 3.42 cumulative GPA. Texas has produced a Campbell Trophy finalist in each of the past two seasons.
