No. 19/16 Texas lost 3-1 at Arkansas in its SEC opener after the Razorbacks scored three times in the first 34 minutes.
Ava McDonald pulled one back in the 55th minute, scoring for a third consecutive match. Texas held a 21-16 advantage in shots and put nine attempts on goal.
The Longhorns moved to 5-2-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play. They return home to face No. 8/5 Tennessee on September 18.
