Ahead of Saturday's contest, Tennessee has a 28.8% chance to win, according to ESPN's Matchup Predictor. Nolan Analytics also projects Alabama to defeat the Vols, 27-24, at the beginning of game week.
The Tennessee-Alabama game will feature both schools wearing home jerseys.
A two-year jersey agreement was made in conjunction with both administrations and head coaches, along with the Southeastern Conference, for the Vols and Crimson Tide to wear home jerseys from 2026-27.
"The Third Saturday in October stands alone in college football, and we are excited to restore one of its most iconic traditions as both teams wear their home jerseys," Tennessee vice chancellor and director of athletics Danny White said. "I'm grateful to Alabama AD Greg Byrne and his staff for their shared commitment to bringing this experience back to the fans of one of the sport's greatest rivalries."
