Jessie-May Hall was selected as the Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year, becoming TCU's first recipient of that honor since the program joined the conference in 2011. Returning center Clara Silva also made the 10-player Preseason All-Big 12 Team.

The Horned Frogs placed second in the coaches' poll with six first-place votes and 212 points, just behind Oklahoma State's 215. TCU opens its season Nov. 3 against Oral Roberts and will play its first seven games at home.
