DALLAS - SMU basketball will have a major national television presence in 2026-27, with 25 regular-season games scheduled for national broadcast and every ACC matchup available on a major network.

The Mustangs will appear at least seven times on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, six times on The CW, at least seven times on ACC Network, twice on CBS Sports Network and once on TNT. Seven additional games are scheduled for ACC Network Extra.

That exposure comes at an ideal time for a program entering its third season under Andy Enfield and coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2017.

SMU finished last season with two ranked victories and cracked both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time in nine years.

The home schedule includes one of the biggest dates of the ACC season when Duke visits Moody Coliseum on Feb. 9 for an ESPN game. SMU will also host Louisville, Wake Forest, Clemson, Syracuse and Pitt during conference play.

The road slate brings its own marquee opportunities.

The Mustangs visit North Carolina on Jan. 26, Louisville on Feb. 13 and Virginia on Jan. 2, with all three games carrying ESPN-family network exposure.

Before conference play begins, SMU will also get several national showcases.

The Mustangs face Utah State and LSU at the Acrisure Series in Palm Desert on CBS Sports Network, travel to DePaul for a TNT game and meet Minnesota in Frisco and UNLV in Phoenix on The CW.

Enfield has repeatedly emphasized putting SMU on bigger stages.

“We are excited for the opportunity,” Enfield said earlier this offseason while discussing the Minnesota matchup, calling it another “high-profile” game for the program.

The schedule also reflects the momentum SMU built last season.

The Mustangs finished among the nation’s top 30 in scoring, assists, field-goal percentage and three-point shooting while earning three All-ACC selections.
