It was another great week of SEC games. Oklahoma and Texas played an instant classic in the Red River Showdown, and Alabama and Georgia played a tight one-score game. It was Kirby Smart's first regular season win over the Crimson Tide in his incredibly successful tenure in Athens.

The two SEC powers are well-positioned to meet again in the SEC championship game. Georgia is the only team unbeaten in conference play. Georgia faces Auburn next, then Florida, Ole Miss, Missouri, and South Carolina to close out its SEC schedule. Alabama has Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU, Vanderbilt, and Auburn still left in conference play. It's very feasible that neither team loses a conference game the rest of the way.

Even though Georgia and Alabama have an inside track at the SEC title game, there are eight teams with just one loss in conference play, including the Oklahoma Sooners. OU will play other one-loss SEC teams Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Missouri. To reach the College Football Playoff or play in their first SEC title game, the Sooners will need to win out.

It's a wide open race as we reach the midpoint of the season and here's a look at the SEC football standings after Week 6.
