Texas A&M followed its encouraging win over Arkansas with another performance that raised questions about the programis direction. The Aggies managed only six points and 239 total yards in a 27-6 loss at Missouri, bringing them to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in SEC play.
A&M has now lost three of its first four conference games. The offense has failed to score a touchdown in two of those losses, while Marcel Reed has thrown four interceptions over the last three games. Any remaining College Football Playoff hopes are gone, leaving the Aggies focused on bowl eligibility and meaningful improvement in the second half of the season.
The remaining schedule also looks different after an upset-filled weekend. Oklahoma knocked off previously unbeaten Texas, South Carolina earned a convincing road win over Florida and Georgia handed Alabama its first loss. Tennessee also remained among the SEC’s one-loss teams by beating Arkansas.
Here is an updated ranking of Texas A&M’s seven remaining opponents from easiest to toughest heading into Week 7.
6. Texas A&M vs. Citadel - Week 7

2026 record: 2-4
Analysis: The Citadel followed its upset of South Carolina State with a 34-16 loss to East Tennessee State. The Bulldogs have allowed at least 26 points in five games and remain the most manageable opponent on A&M’s schedule. Anything other than a comfortable Aggies win would raise even more concerns.
5. Texas A&M @ South Carolina - Week 10

2026 record: 3-3
Analysis: South Carolina ended its three-game losing streak with an impressive 38-19 road victory over No. 16 Florida. LaNorris Sellers threw for five touchdowns as the Gamecocks showed they can still beat talented teams. A&M should still view this as one of its more winnable SEC games, but Williams-Brice Stadium makes it far from automatic.
4. Texas A&M @ Oklahoma - Week 12

2025 final record: 3-2
Analysis: Oklahoma delivered one of the weekend’s biggest surprises by beating No. 1 Texas 27-24. The Sooners forced a late turnover before Tate Sandell made the winning field goal. Oklahoma has been inconsistent offensively, but winning in Norman will be difficult if A&M’s offense keeps struggling.
3. Texas A&M vs. Tennessee - Week 11

2026 record: 5-1
Analysis: Tennessee earned a 24-17 road win over Arkansas and has now responded to its loss to Texas with two straight wins. The Volunteers have enough talent to test A&M on both sides of the ball, though playing at Kyle Field gives the Aggies a better chance than in their remaining road games.
2. Texas A&M @ Alabama - Week 8

2026 record: 5-1
Analysis: Alabama suffered its first loss, falling 20-17 against Georgia at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide surrendered four sacks and produced a season-low passing total, but they remain one of the SEC’s most talented teams. A&M’s trip to Tuscaloosa will be one of its toughest remaining assignments.
1. Texas A&M vs. Texas - Week 13

2026 record: 5-1
Analysis: Texas suffered its first loss when Oklahoma made a late field goal to win 27-24 in the Red River Rivalry. That result exposed some weaknesses, but it does not erase the Longhorns’ victories over Ohio State and Tennessee. Texas remains the most complete team left on A&M’s schedule, and the Aggies must improve significantly before the rivalry returns to Kyle Field.
