McKenzie Milton's name is now immortalized in UCF history following his induction into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday at the Celeste Hotel.

Milton joined a long list of former Knights inducted into the Hall of Fame, including former teammate Shaquem Griffin (Class of '24) and former coach Mike Kruczek, who is also part of the Class of '26.

The quarterback coach built a historic legacy at UCF and became one of the program's best quarterbacks.

He led the undefeated 2017 squad and the 12-1 team in 2018. Milton helped the Knights earn recognition as national champions by the Colley Matrix in their undefeated year.

UCF's star quarterback had some of his best career performances in high-stakes games against former AAC rival Memphis and then-No. 7 Auburn in the 2018 Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The AAC Championship game against Memphis was a high-octane shootout. Milton threw for 494 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions, including 68 yards and 1 touchdown on 11 carries, powering UCF to a 62-55 win.

He led No. 12 UCF over Auburn, throwing for 242 yards and two touchdowns, including a season-high 116 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries.

Milton looks back on his tenure with the Knights fondly. Back with his alma mater as the quarterbacks coach, he said he hopes UCF football will sustain success for years to come.

This season has been a roller coaster. Star transfer quarterback Alonza Barnett III sustained a hamstring injury; the Knights won their first Big 12 home opener since joining the conference and collapsed in back-to-back second halves against ranked foes.

UCF and Milton will face their toughest challenge against the No. 2 BYU Cougars. BYU is the highest-ranked program to visit Acrisure Bounce House since the No. 6 Texas Longhorns came to Orlando in 2007.

Barnett's return is likely a game-time decision, as Wednesday's injury report listed him as questionable. If he is ruled out, Keyone Jenkins will resume his role as the starter.

Jenkins has improved in every game under the supervision of coach Scott Frost, offensive coordinator Steve Cooper and Milton. He's fresh off back-to-back 200-plus-yard performances against the then-No. 20 Houston Cougars and then-No. 18 Oklahoma State Cowboys.

The starter made program history, surpassing Milton's single-game completion percentage record. Jenkins completed 19-for-20 passes against the TCU Horned Frogs, besting his quarterback coach's 24-for-26 passes against Austin Peay in 2017.

Milton led the Knights to its most successful era in 2017 and 2018, and is now helping the program reach those heights again on the sidelines.
