Week 6 of the college football slate is going to give us a gigantic matchup. No. 2 Georgia will travel to play No. 6 Alabama, but there could be some twists and turns along the way. Tropical Storm Isaias is on its way, and there is fear it could impact the game on Saturday.

As of now, the game is on, but expect some sloppy weather. There are also some other big games in the SEC this weekend, and here’s how they could play out.

The Red River Rivalry is here, and unfortunately, Oklahoma appears to be a shell of what it was. There is smoke about the Sooners moving on from quarterback John Mateer. Despite being healthy, Mateer has been a turnover machine this year.

Oklahoma’s defense is legit, but its offense is a big issue. Luckily for the Sooners, Texas has yet to showcase an elite version of its offense. Arch Manning has made some big plays, especially against Ohio State, but there isn’t full consistency there.

The Longhorns also have a good defense, which is how they’ve won two ranked matchups this season. Ultimately, it’s going to come down to which quarterback plays better against a tough defense. We’ve seen zero reason to believe it’s going to be Mateer.

Final score: Texas 27, Oklahoma 17

After a win over South Alabama, Kentucky found itself in the AP Top 25. But an overtime win over South Carolina, somehow, got the Wildcats booted out. Head coach Will Stein’s team has a chance to show it is for real with No. 10 LSU coming to town.

The Tigers have one loss on their resume and really can’t afford another at this juncture. Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw three passing touchdowns over McNeese last week, but, once again, he turned the ball over. Leavitt has eight passing touchdowns to seven interceptions this season, and that’s not winning football.

Kentucky will make the Tigers pay at home if Leavitt turns the ball over. LSU has the better team and should win if it plays good football.

Final score: LSU 34, Kentucky 27

This game could be a sloppy mess come Saturday night with Tropical Storm Isaias on its way. There has been talk that the matchup could be postponed or moved, but as of now, Georgia is prepared to take on the Crimson Tide in Alabama.

If the game is played, it’s likely going to be a monsoon. That only benefits one of these teams: Georgia. The Bulldogs have a very good rushing attack, led by Nate Frazier, and the top-ranked rushing defense in the SEC.

Both quarterbacks can get the job done through the air, but that might be a limited option. With a sloppy field, the run game is going to be both teams’ best friend — in a low-scoring affair.

Final score: Georgia 17, Alabama 13

The rest of the games will be quick-hitter style:

  • No. 14 Missouri 31, Texas A&M 27
  • No. 16 Florida 41, South Carolina 31
  • No. 9 Ole Miss 38, Vanderbilt 28
  • No. 15 Tennessee 45, Arkansas 14
