The TCU Horned Frogs suffered a loss in Week 0, and now the entire Big 12 Conference will take the field in Week 1, in hopes of impressing this weekend.

College football is back and in full swing. There will be games played from Thursday to Monday this week, and we are going to predict every Big 12 final score. Typically, we will preview three games and then give final scores for the remaining games.

Colorado vs. Georgia Tech

Aside from Baylor vs. Auburn, this is the biggest game on the slate for Big 12 football, and fans will get to see this game on Thursday night.

Second-year QB Julian Lewis returns, and Deion Sanders hit the transfer portal hard, as he typically does, in hopes of improving the Buffs this season. Colorado will have almost an entire new defense, which will be interesting to see how it gels in Week 1.

As for Georgia Tech, it has some new skill players. Alberto Mendoza comes from Indiana to start at QB, and RB Justice Haynes comes from Michigan. This game might not be super high-scoring, and if that’s the case, it bodes well for Georgia Tech, who doesn’t play as high-tempo.

Final score: Georgia Tech 27, Colorado 21

Oregon State vs. No. 23 Houston

The Houston Cougars are a team that could be a dark horse candidate to win the Big 12 this season. Houston returns star QB Conner Weigman, and it has transfer Mekhi Hughes coming in to play RB. The Cougars should have another solid defense under Willie Fritz, as well.

Oregon State has had a QB battle taking place this spring between incumbent starter Maalik Murphy and Mercer transfer Braden Atkinson. It sounds like Atkinson will get the first reps, but the Beavers don’t have the same skill level that Houston has.

Final score: Houston 31, Oregon State 14

Oklahoma State vs. Tulsa

After winning one game last season, Oklahoma State is a must-watch this season. Eric Morris comes from North Texas and he brought over a lot of players with him. That includes QB Drew Mestemaker, RB Caleb Hawkins, and WR Wyatt Young.

Oklahoma State has a chance to be one of the most potent offenses in college football, but we need to see how it fares in the Big 12. This game, however, isn’t a Big 12 opponent and there will be a lot of fireworks for Oklahoma State.

Final score: Oklahoma State 56, Tulsa 21
