Week 6 of college football was the best slate we’ve seen this season. There was action-packed football from start to finish, and things got started with what appeared to be Indiana suffering its first loss of the season. Nebraska held a 17-6 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Hoosiers had two big passing touchdowns to give them a 20-17 win over the Huskers.
The afternoon slate was great, too. Oregon was upset at home against UCLA, which remains undefeated. And Texas suffered its first loss of the season. Arch Manning had a horrendous fourth quarter and the Sooners kicked a game-winning 47-yard field goal to take home this year’s Red River Rivalry.
Then at night, Kentucky took down LSU to give the Tigers their second loss. And the big game of them all, Georgia vs. Alabama, didn’t disappoint. The Bulldogs would pull out a 20-17 win over the Crimson Tide, and with Texas losing — there will be a new No. 1 in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
Here’s how the poll might look on Sunday.
