Colorado head coach Deion Sanders looks likely to make a switch at quarterback for this Saturday’s game against No. 12 Texas Tech.
Julian Lewis was benched by Sanders in Colorado’s 23-13 loss against Baylor after passing for only 75 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He was replaced by Isaac Wilson, who threw for 156 yards and one touchdown.

Sanders didn’t announce who would start on Saturday, but according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, Wilson is expected to get the nod. On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed that report on Wednesday.

Wilson’s older brother, Zach, was selected second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He is currently listed as the third-string quarterback for the New Orleans Saints.
The younger Wilson was a four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, per 247Sports composite rankings. He was the second-best player out of Utah and the No. 280 recruit in the nation.
This is Wilson’s first season with Colorado after spending two seasons at Utah. He played in nine games as a true freshman, throwing 10 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions. Wilson then opted to transfer to Colorado after appearing in only one game for the Utes last season.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game between Colorado and Texas Tech will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
