HOUSTON — In 2010, Eric Morris began his football coaching career as a quality control coach at the University of Houston.

“I have great memories there,” Morris said earlier this week. “Case Keenum was our quarterback. I remember thinking coaching football was the easiest thing ever just because Case made us right in everything that we did. I went to Washington State the next year and found out it wasn’t that easy.”

On Saturday, Morris returns as the head coach of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and is bringing another great quarterback, Drew Mestemaker, with him.

No. 18 Houston (5-1 overall, 2-1 Big 12) hosts No. 20 OSU (4-1, 2-0) at 6:30 p.m. Houston is favored by 4.5 points, but the Cowboys are 2-0 in games as an underdog this season.

Houston leads the all-time series 11-10-1 and the series is split 1-1 since the Cougars joined the Big 12 Conference.
