The vibes? Well, there will be vibes of some type next Saturday as the Texas Longhorns limp back into Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to face off against the Florida Gators, suddenly losers of two straight after a red-hot 40 start.

ABC will carry the 11 a.m. kickoff, the SEC announced on Saturday evening.

Ranked No. 1 in both polls before suffering a last-second 27-24 upset at the hands of the unranked Sooners in Dallas on Saturday, the Longhorns will find out how far they drops in those polls on Sunday — two ranked wins should keep Texas from tumbling too far, but whether that tumble continues in Austin will depend on whether head coach Steve Sarkisian’s team can clean up the rampant mistakes that contributed to the shocking defeat by two-loss Oklahoma.

That’s also where first-year head coach Jon Sumrall’s team sits after giving up five touchdowns to South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers in Gainesville in getting handed a 38-19 shellacking that came on the heels of a 45-17 loss to Missouri on the road last week.

As Texas tries to recover from its unexpected loss, the Horns will also be seeking revenge for last season’s unexpected road loss to the Gators that failed to prolong Billy Napier’s tenure.
