Why Eastern Illinois Will Win

The Panther ground attack got going right away against Murray State, with Charles Kellom running for 171 yards and three scores. It was a stunningly sharp early performance overall, with the defense holding up well against the run and the offense keeping the mistakes to a minimum.
Minnesota might have a great passer in Lindsay, but the offense has to prove it can get going, especially on the ground.

Why Minnesota Will Win

The goal in this is to find an early rhythm, and without Eastern Illinois pass rush to worry about, the production and balance should come.
The Minnesota offensive line has the bulk and experience to be more of a force for running back Darius Taylor. There will be more attention paid to the ground game this week, but Lindsey will get his shots in.
The Panthers don’t have the pass rush to be a bother.
