Minnesota offensive lineman Greg Johnson was added to the Rimington Trophy watch list, recognizing his work at center after beginning the season at left guard. He moved inside when Ashton Beers suffered a season-ending injury, returning to a position Johnson also played in 2024.

The school reported that Johnson had allowed one pressure across 202 opportunities at the time of the announcement. His ability to handle multiple spots along the line gives Minnesota valuable flexibility as the second half of the season develops.
